Quality Assurance

Successful companies take measures to sustain their position.

At H.A. Bennett & Sons, we have integrated sustainable business practices - which align with our Quality Policy - to ensure our responsibility to our stakeholders is maintained.

Our pledge has and will continue to be to provide the highest quality coffee and tea whilst contributing to the social, economic and environmental sustainability of coffee and tea production at origin.

The key drivers for this are:

Lic HAC20045 Standards Australia

  • Implementation of HACCP-9000 which is an integrated quality and risk management system that assists H.A. Bennett & Sons to achieve not only higher food safety standards but an improvement in all-round business performance encompassing purchasing, storage, distribution and wholesaling of green coffee beans and tea. It also incorporates the Codes of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Food Handling Practices (FHP).
  • Implementation of an organic movement system, which is audited annually by Australian Certified Organic Pty Ltd on behalf of the Biological Farmers of Australia Co-Op Ltd to ensure that our purchasing, storage and delivery systems consistently comply with the principles for organic handling.

FLO ID 2313
  • Accreditation as a Fair Trade approved importer / trader under the FLO certification system - FLO-International exists to improve the position of the poor and disadvantaged producers in the developing world, by setting the Fairtrade standards and by creating the framework that enables trade to take place at conditions favorable to them. Crucial to FLO's transparency and credibility is the participation of traders, producers, and other stakeholders in FLO's governance - HAB is committed to those origins of which Fair Trade is a part.

Quality Policy

Our primary objective is customer satisfaction.

We will continue to excel in the wholesale supply, warehousing and delivery of raw green coffee beans and tea.

To achieve this we will ensure that:

  • Adequate resources are engaged and monitored

  • Customer requirements and expectations are understood and met.

  • A competent and committed workforce is maintained through training and employee participation.

  • Continuous improvement of the quality system, which is based on the international standard ISO 9001:2000 and HACCP principles, is pursued.

  • Critical suppliers and sub-contractors are assessed for their ability to provide the high standards that we pursue for our customers.
